Reports buses skidding up to five metres in wet weather
Buses skidding in wet weather on red bus lanes has been an issue for some time. The union and STA have raised the issue with the Roads and Maritime service and they are now responding by carrying out urgent testing on the bus lanes to find out what the problem is and are looking at doing some maintenance and repair work on the lanes over the Easter weekend. Reports buses skidding up to five metres in wet weather
The problem of buses skidding on red bus lanes is widespread, with more than 30 drivers sending in written reports to the union and 100 others speaking to the union about their concerns. RMS has responded by carrying out urgent testing and the union is continuing to monitor this issue. Read More »
