Work Group Leader and Team Leader Pay Review Update
To: Rail, Tram and Bus Union – Sydney Trains Infrastructure Members.
Sydney Trains has finalised the ongoing pay review for Work Group Leaders (WGL) and Team Leaders (TL) in Track and Structures and the Overhead Line Work areas. Members claimed that they should receive a higher rate because of the changes to their roles since the new network base model was introduced.
We are disappointed by the correspondence from Sydney Trains in relation to the WGL and TL pay review.
Members’ position on this issue has not changed. The outcome of this review does not address all of the issues that members have raised in performing these changed roles on a daily basis.
Your representatives worked hard at making your issues with the pay rates clear to Sydney Trains and emphasising how strongly members feel about the matter.
Members will not give up on this issue.
We anticipate that this will form part of our log of claims for infrastructure at the next enterprise agreement negotiations for Sydney Trains scheduled to start early next year.
Congratulations to all members who worked hard to provide the research, information and support in relation to the review.
We will fight on.
