Will you join us in Newcastle on Friday 13 October?
RTBU members have had enough. The NSW Transport Minister is attacking workers and public transport from all angles.
Privatisation, job cuts, service closures – the list of bad decisions the Transport Minister, Andrew Constance, has made in recent times is long and alarming. Newcastle has been hit particularly hard.
That’s why on Friday, we’re taking action in Newcastle – and we want you to get involved.
There are two events you can get involved in:
- Kick Out Constance – Motions of No Confidence Ceremony – 10.30am for 11am start, Corner of Station St and Charles St (near the Wickham Interchange)
RTBU members at workplaces across the state have moved motions of no confidence in Transport Minister, Andrew Constance. We’ll be doing a presentation of the motions at the Wickham Interchange. Media will be invited to the event.
- Member BBQ 12.15pm, RTBU Newcastle Office, 33 Gordon Ave, Hamilton
Join us for a BBQ with your fellow members. This is an opportunity to discuss issues and concerns with your RTBU representatives.
We want to see as many members there on Friday as possible. Enough is enough. Newcastle deserves a world-class transport system and a Transport Minister capable of delivering it. Join us in Newcastle on Friday and tell the Transport Minister it’s time for him to step aside.
Together we’ll help improve public transport in this state.
In Union,
Alex Claassens, RTBU NSW Secretary
