We’ve just about had enough of Opal
Earlier on Bus Express we wrote about bus drivers’ frustration with the Opal systemwhich constantly crashes, causes safety problems and is responsible for delays.
We’ve made sure that this issue is all over the media. Here are just some examples.
Channel 7 news was the first to pick up on our concerns and revealed that not only are passengers getting ripped off when machines break down and they can’t tap off, but that the Government is loosing millions in revenue when passengers ride for free because they can’t tap on. Watch the video here.
The Sydney Morning Herald also reported that opal readers are breaking down daily – read the article here.
Tram and Bus Division President Gary Way also went on the radio to chat about the issue with 2UE’s Stuart Bocking.
