RTBU to join Walk for Respect
The Government has announced it is introducing legislation to weaken our protections against racial hate speech.
They have decided that people should be allowed to insult, offend and humiliate someone on the basis of their race. This is who they have chosen to protect. The person hurling abuse.
Right now, we need to stand together. On Friday of next week, we need to walk together. The RTBU NSW will be joining this action, to make a stand against racial hate speech.
Where: Corner of Gillies and Haldon Street, Lakemba
When: Friday, 31st March. 5pm for a 5:30pm start.
The walk ends at Parry Park with live music, a BBQ, and activities for the kids.
This is for everybody who believes in modern multicultural Australia.
Let’s walk together for respect, and celebrate who we are.
