Union win on additional late night bus services from Kings Cross

After a hard-fought campaign by the union’s Bus and Tram Division, the NSW government has today announced it will introduce a more frequent, one-way bus service between Kings Cross, Town Hall and Central to help late night transport from Kings Cross.

The Plan B bus will offer a safe and affordable way for people to get home from Kings Cross. The service will cost $2 and operate four times an hour from Kings Cross to Town Hall and then to Central.

Plan B buses will have a security guard on board to ensure driver and passenger comfort and safety.

Promotion of the new service will begin shortly with about 25,000 drink coasters promoting Plan B buses distributed to more than 15 venues across Kings Cross.
