Transport Shared Services Payroll and Finance Members
Bulletin No. 46.20
Dear Members,
Members at Transport Shared Service are understandably outraged by the announced restructure of payroll and finance, with plans to abolish 22 positions in payroll.
Members in payroll are highly skilled workers who work tirelessly to ensure frontline workers are paid, on time and correctly. The attempt to remove these vital positions in the midst of a pandemic is outrageous.
At a members meeting on September 2nd members came together and resolved to not accept these job cuts without a fight,
Members fully endorsed the below resolution.
“We are disgusted in TSS undertaking to destroy our jobs during these difficult and anxious times, just to save a few dollars, and request that the unions do everything in their power to halt this unnecessary nonsense.”
We also established an issue register with 62 items which has been forwarded, along with our resolution to Rodd Staples with a demand for an urgent meeting,
This letter has been issued by the Combined Unions (RTBU and ASU) with a clear position that we will fight to protect our jobs and the vital function we provide to our workmates and the community.
If you have any questions please contact your organiser or delegate.
We will be in touch soon with further updates.
