Ballot opening soon – update your details

Congratulations on your commitment to stand together and fight for a better deal. Our application for a Protected Action Ballot has been approved.

You deserve an enterprise agreement that delivers fair wages and conditions, and management has failed to deliver that. While management talks about their proposal not being cuts to your conditions, the reality is that they are trying to weaken your conditions by stealth.  (You can see more detail on the issues of contention at www.rtbuexpress.com.au/trainseba.)

We have been left with no option but to take action. Enough is enough.

Voting in the Protected Action Ballot will open shortly, and as you know, there’s a lot at stake. This is a postal ballot, so the only way to receive your papers to vote is in the mail.

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has requested a list of eligible employees from management and a list of members from the RTBU. They’ll use this to create a roll of voters for the ballot.

This is your last chance to make sure your details match – if they don’t, you may not be able to vote.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to this link to update your details with the RTBU: bit.ly/trainsea
  2. Check with your line manager to make sure that the details the RTBU office and the company have on file match.

Don’t delay

It’s very important that you update your details now to make sure you don’t miss out. Once the roll closes it will be too late.

In Solidarity,

Your RTBU team.
