Sydney Trains sets sights on kronos clock compliance

The Loco division has been made aware that Sydney Trains will shortly begin a concerted effort to improve compliance with “sign on and sign off” procedures and the use of Kronos clocks.

According to Sydney Trains, there is an “alarmingly low” level of compliance when it comes to crew “tapping off” at a Kronos clock. Sydney Trains has expressed a requirement to know when crew have finished their shift, and as such may look to make changes to the “remote sign off” policy.

Any changes made will be subject to consultation with the RTBU and we’ll make sure members are informed about how any changes may affect them.
