Sydney Metro: RTBU Refused Entry by Sydney Metro
Bulletin: 11/19
To: All RTBU Sydney Metro Members.
Sydney Metro:
RTBU Refused Entry by Sydney Metro
The RTBU has been requested by Metro members and other employees to attend a meeting that has been scheduled for 1200hrs on Thursday the 14th February 2019.
The RTBU believes the intention of this meeting is to discuss your workplace rights and conditions of employment.
The RTBU has communicated with Sydney Metro management about the purpose of this meeting. However, Sydney Metro is refusing to disclose the purpose of this meeting and is blatantly refusing your Union entry.
This is an attack on your workplace rights by refusing your Union’s involvement in a meeting called to discuss your conditions/entitlements.
The RTBU is not going to accept this anti-union behaviour and have served Notices of Entry as per the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) to support Members.
The RTBU will be on site (either at the meeting or outside the venue) at 1200hrs on the 14th February 2019 to speak with any Metro member and/or employee wishing to discuss their concerns with the greenfields agreement and your workplace rights. We have legal rights to represent the interest of members and will take all necessary steps to enforce your interests in the workplace.
Not a member? Then join today! This is this best opportunity for everyone to become an RTBU Member to achieve the best possible outcome for your Enterprise Agreement. If you have any questions, please email thunter@rtbu-nsw.asn.au or contact the RTBU Head Office on (02) 9264 2511.
