Sydney and NSW Trains Cancel Your Meal Allowance

Bulletin No. 10.21

Members have informed the Union office that management at Sydney and NSW Trains have cancelled the payment of the meal allowance to RC Grades 1 through to 7.

This allowance has always been paid and members rely on this payment as part of their ongoing wage. It is outrageous that management has removed it, without consultation or negotiation.

Over the coming weeks, RTBU Organisers and Delegates will be holding workplace meetings, gathering feedback and seeking a resolution from members about the steps we will take to address management’s actions. 

Keep a lookout for member meeting notices. If you are not a member of the RTBU, now is the time to join to take up the fight against this outrageous action. Contact your local delegate or the RTBU office for further information.
