Bulletin 41 – 2014
To RTBU Members:Station Staff
The RTBU have lodged a step 3 dispute notification regarding the chairs being removed from the barriers at Central Station. The Central CSAs have been progressing this issue through the disputes settlement clause and as there hasn’t been any resolution on the matter, is now proceeding through to Unions NSW on Thursday the 18th December 2014 at 3pm for mediation.
The background for the dispute is that Sydney Trains consulted with CSAs at Central Station, after consultation was completed Sydney Trains removed the chairs from the barriers.
Sydney Trains have now commenced consultation with CSAs at other locations where staff are rostered to work on barriers. This commenced on the 10th December and is scheduled to be concluded on Monday the 22nd of December. The RTBU encourages members to participate in consultation and put all feedback in writing (and keep a copy) to the Station Customer Manager (SCM) before the close off date.
