Station Staff: More Disability Allowance Wins
RTBU Members have had further wins with successful disability allowance assessments at more stations.
Disability assessment looks at the additional workplace challenges for members caused by disruptive major works. If an assessment finds disruption above a certain level, members get additional compensation.
Management had been delaying and avoiding assessments at many stations but after RTBU members stuck together to insist the assessments were completed, management finally listened.
Last week more stations were assessed by the Disability Assessment Team consisting of staff members and management. We were represented by Simon Bolin, RTBU Salary/Admin Division Secretary.
These following stations were successfully assessed since our last update and will now receive an additional allowance.

Stations that are currently being upgraded have now all been successfully assessed. The team will be visiting the following upgraded stations in the next few weeks to determine their assessment score:
Beverley Hills | East Hills | Berala | Oatley |
Punchbowl | Bankstown | Macarthur | Campbelltown |
If your station being upgraded, preparing for an upgrade or has been upgraded, please contact the RTBU on 9264 2511.
