STA Salaried and Admin Log of Claims

2020 has been a massive year or members at STA, as we faced the NSW Government ploughing ahead with their privatisation plans and a global pandemic that impacted the entire community.
2021 will be another big year and in the first part we will be negotiating for the STA Salaried and Admin Award. Together we will fight to protect your conditions as change occurs.
Late last week STA informed your representatives that the NSW Government had provided them with permission to bargain. It is not going to be an easy negotiation with the NSW Government ensuring that public sector wages only increased by 0.3% and wages capped from next year at 1.5%.
Based on survey responses and conversation with members we have developed the below log of claims.
We will meet with members, via zoom on Tuesday January 12 at 14:00 to seek your endorsement of the and update you on discussions.
Please save the date and we will email and text members with the zoom details closer to date.
The Log is below for your consideration:
- To keep all our current entitlements and conditions in the Award
- To seek a pay increase of 2.5% per annum or CPI whichever is greatest.
- A two-year Award to protect members through the transition period to a private provider
- Working from home guidelines to be applied consistently across all business units
This list is a starting point, and we will seek endorsement and feedback from members when we meet next year.
