RTBU leading the debate at ACTU Congress
The ACTU Congress is on in Melbourne this week – a triennial event which sees union delegates from right across the country come together to set the union agenda for the coming years.
Delegates at the event debate and vote on policies regarding the workplace, rights and campaigns to improve wages, conditions and the standard of living for Australian workers and their families.
As part of the congress, the RTBU has been leading the charge on a range of issues, including pushing hard for a united response to the termination of 12 Enterprise Agreements by Aurizon, and changes to the Fair Work Act to stop it from happening again.
Today’s copy of The Australian contains an article about the RTBU’s important push.
