Public Holiday Rostering

Once again, Sydney Trains has attempted to bypass the agreed provisions of the Driver Rostering & Working Arrangements by rostering every driver and guard at the Campbelltown depot off duty on the June long weekend public holiday.

This has been attempted on numerous occasions at other depots with disputes subsequently lodged and won on each occasion.

This time around the quick actions of the delegates brought about a successful outcome without dispute proceedings being required as management ‘saw the light’ and duly returned the working to the rosters for the public holiday Monday.

Congratulations to the delegates involved for immediately standing up for the protection of members entitlements and award provisions.
