Status of additional backpay

Dear Members,
Over the past week, we’ve received many enquiries from members regarding the location of the additional backpay.

The backpay is contingent on the Fair Work Commission making orders giving effect to its decision from 10 March 2023 which involves the recalculation of the wage tables in the enterprise agreement.

For the avoidance of doubt, the extra pay rise is not in doubt or at risk, it is purely an administrative process that the Commission has to go through to make formal orders.

We anticipate that the Commission will make the orders required within the next week. Once those orders are made, members should see the additional backpay in the following first full pay period.
