Government given a two-week deadline on Infrastructure Claims
Dear members,
Yesterday we met with senior management from Sydney Trains to discuss the remaining claims outstanding for the Infrastructure Division.
At the conclusion of the meeting, we indicated that we were prepared to provide the Government with two weeks to consider our claims, after which there would be an escalation in industrial action.
If we do not reach an acceptable outcome for our claims by the end of the two-week period, from 6 August 2022, we will be implementing a variety of bans on points maintenance.
Sydney Trains and the Government have been notified that we intend to take such action, and therefore we hope that they make the right decision over the next two weeks.
In the meantime, the fight is ramping up around the safety alterations to the New Intercity Fleet, and the outstanding claims for our Cleaners.
We will continue to keep members up to date as things progress on our final claims.
If you wish to discuss any of the above, please contact your local delegate or organiser.
