Opal fares up for review
After the NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance released details of the bus route upheaval to occur in Sydney from October, there was an immediate reaction from commuters worried they’ll have to walk more, change modes of transport, or be slugged with paying twice because they now have to change from a direct bus into the city to a bus and then a train.
It appears that the outcry has prompted a review into Opal fares for commuters – but the review won’t be ready in time to ease the pain for commuters during the critical light rail construction period. This just shows the extent of the poor planning by the NSW Government.
