NSW Trains – Shoe Order Process

NSW Trains have advised the RTBU in a letter dated 4th February 2014 that they are currently reviewing their uniform processes and staff will order all uniform items from their supplier (DINA).

Detailed below is their communiqué:-

“NSW Trains – Shoe Order Process

With the rollout of the new NSW Trains uniform now complete, the business is currently reviewing uniform processes.

Currently, some employees order shoes directly from the uniform supplier (new supplier is DINA), and some regional based employees (formerly CountryLink) buy footwear independently are entitled to claim reimbursement for up to $150 for uniform footwear each year.

From 1st July 2015, NSW Trains will standardise the shoe ordering process. All NSW Trains employees will now order shoes directly from the new uniform supplier (DINA). This is in line with the organisation’s commitment to the one team approach and standardising the process is cost effective.

Staff will be entitled to two pairs of shoes or boots per year as outlined in the Uniform Policy and guidelines. Staff with special orthopaedic needs will still be accommodated as per the current process.”
