NSW gets new Transport Minister

Former Treasurer, Andrew Constance, has been announced as the state’s new Minister for Transport and Infrastructure.

Gladys Berejiklian, the former Transport Minister, will move to the position of Treasurer and Minister for Industrial Relations.

The Loco Division would like to congratulate and welcome Mr Constance into his new role. The Division looks forward to meeting him in in the near future to discuss plans for the future of the state’s transport industry.

We would hope that the Minister will be receptive to our calls to ditch plans for driverless trains and further privatisation and that he’ll be willing to work with unions to ensure job security and fair wages and conditions for workers.
