Newcastle rail rally today, 1pm

The battle to protect the Newcastle Rail line is continuing, with the NSW Government introducing legislation into parliament that would allow it to continue its plans to rip up the line.

The legislation, which centres around the closure and sale of the Newcastle rail corridor from railway St to Newcastle Station, will be debated next week.

Group opposing the closure of the rail line will rally today (Tuesday 15 Sept) at NSW Parliament House, 1pm. All members are encouraged to join them.
