My Success @ Work Dispute

A dispute was lodged with Sydney Trains in relation to the SDMs’ PDP process and the requirement for SDMs to perform Station Customer Managers’ (SCMs) responsibilities for the application of CSAs’ “My Success @ Work” plans.

A meeting was held with Senior Sydney Trains Management on Friday 7^th August to discuss the Step 2 dispute and a number of on-going Station issues and it was agreed that this items will be included on the agenda for the re-instated Station Consultative Committee Meetings. The first of these Station Consultative Committee Meetings will be held on 18^th August, 2015.

The RTBU has requested the release of SDM Representatives to attend this meeting. The Representatives are Julian Strangio (SDM Blacktown), Craig Seery (SDM Richmond) and Mark Thompson. Mark’s attendance was requested as not only is he the President of the Salaried Division but was directly involved in the Station Managers reforms which culminated in the SMs being replaced by Station Customer Managers. Mark’s knowledge of the processes, the role responsibilities and who performs what tasks is vital to ensuring that the facts and not fiction is put forward.

Members will be advised on the progress of this dispute and the outcomes of the Station Consultative Committee meeting.
