METRO TRAINS SYDNEY – RTBU SITE VISITS
Members at MTS are advised that the RTBU will be back on site next week to talk to members and discuss any and all industrial issues that you might be having at work.
We are in the process of developing a schedule for when we will visit Rouse Hill next week to talk with employees. We will advise all members once dates and times have been confirmed. It is anticipated that we will have a BBQ on one of those days, so if you’re free and wanting to talk with the RTBU make sure that you come out and grab a snag or two!
The RTBU are aware of ongoing discussions regarding pay increases being offered by MTS to persuade you into transitioning onto the 2018 greenfields agreement. The RTBU strongly encourages members and employees not to sign any documentation or agree to anything until you have had the opportunity to talk to the RTBU about what this means for you. The RTBU would advise that under no circumstances should you agree to move onto an agreement that provides sub-standard conditions. Remember: the greenfields agreement is a four-year EA and you will potentially be bound by that document until it expires. The RTBU is considering all available legal options and will advise members of how we think we can best take the fight up to MTS and make sure that your conditions reflect your value and how we can ensure that your employment is governed by a decent EA.
If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please contact the RTBU on (02) 9264 2511. Not a member? Then join today! This is this best opportunity for everyone to become an RTBU Member to achieve the best possible outcome for your Enterprise Agreement. If you have any questions, please email thunter@rtbu-nsw.asn.au or contact the RTBU Head Office on (02) 9264 2511.
