Metro Trains Sydney – Human Factors Study
Bulletin 22.24
To all MTS Members:
Last week your RTBU Delegates and Officials met with MTS to get an interim report on the Human Factors study.
The RTBU secured guarantees from MTS that delegates would have full visibility of the study including raw data.
So far there a number of positives –
• 12-hour shifts are safe!
• An acknowledgement that more must be done to safeguard the health and welfare of staff, in particular T’s including pressure mats, seating on trains and seated rest breaks.
RTBU delegates will receive a more detailed report shortly and will share this with members.
Next year will see Enterprise Bargaining commence, which is a powerful time to push for improvements in conditions, safety and wages!
Importantly a huge congratulations to our recently elected CJCT Delegates – Nathan Cambey, Matt Page and David Nolland, please give them your full support.
Finally, your RTBU team would like to wish our members at MTS a safe and happy holiday season – your Organiser Amanda Perkins will be on leave from 22 December 2024 until 22 January 2025.
If you need assistance during this time, please contact Jake Tagg 0488 738 277 JTagg@rtbu-nsw.asn.au or call the office on 9264 2511.
