After the devastating earthquake on Monday morning, NZ’s most important transport link has been critically damaged. Our RMTU comrades are calling for Kiwirail to get an emergency freight and passenger shipping route in place as quickly as is possible.
They also want to make sure that the link is run by Kiwirail and not a private company: that would be better for taxpayers, workers and the public.
