Improvements to bus stops and traffic arrangements will start in coming weeks across the Inner West in a bid to boost the reliability of bus services.
Inner West residents rely heavily on buses to get to and from work, with more than 2,400 bus services operate along Broadway each weekday, according to Transport for NSW.
Work will begin soon on bus and transit lanes and assigning bus priority at traffic lights.
Work will start in August to relocate bus stops on the Princes Highway at Tempe, King Street, Enmore Road, City Road in Newtown and Broadway. The changes are aimed at improving more than 30 routes including – L23, L28, M30, 422, 423, 426, 428.
