Guards Injury Survey : Have you been injured at work?

For over six years members have raised with Sydney Trains management the issue of overhead placement of door controls and how this contributes to workplace injuries for Guards.

Delegates from the Guards Sub-Division have raised this issue continuously through the WHS committees and through their HSRs by issuing a Provisional Improvement Notice (PIN) and asking SafeWork Australia to intervene.

Unfortunately, our concerns so far have fallen on deaf ears with SafeWork supporting management, and management shunning their responsibility to fix the issue. We need to show management and SafeWork that this is a major issue with the cab design of the Tangara. To do that, we want to hear from you.
