End of the line for Silverton social club after 126 years

For years after the Silverton Tramway Company in far west NSW was bought, sold and merged into obscurity, its employees’ club continued to meet.

But the 126-year-old group, possibly the oldest social club in Broken Hill, has decided to wind itself up and leave a legacy to the city that supported it.
