Emma Husar, Ed Husic back Labor’s commitment to building north-south rail link
The federal members for Lindsay and Chifley have backed their party’s $400 million pledge to making the north-south rail link a reality.
Labor’s plan has drawn criticism from the state and federal governments, with NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance calling its lack of detail “bizarre”.
Emma Husar and Ed Husic met at St Marys train station on Thursday, which would become a major hub in the link that would service Western Sydney Airport.
Although neither MP is a fan of the proposed airport, they agreed the rail line was a missing link in western Sydney’s public transport network.
