Easter/Anzac Day Public Holiday Dispute: NSW Trains

NSW Trains have once again failed to provide the required public holiday rosters within the 14 day advice timeframe outlined in the Driver Rostering and Working Arrangements, Clause 3.10.2.

Members will recall a similar dispute was lodged and eventually won by the Loco Division in regards to the Hamilton depots Anzac day public holiday roster advice. In this instance, the affected depots are Eveleigh, Gosford and Mt Victoria.

The Loco Division has met with management and provided the actual advice times for each affected depot with them eventually conceding the fact once a cross check was attained. Confirmation has since been received that Clause 3.10.2 of the Drivers Rostering and Working Arrangements will apply to those drivers affected by cancelled working, at Gosford for Easter Sunday and Monday and for Eveleigh for all of the Easter Public Holiday days.

Also, Mt Victoria were given insufficient notice for Anzac Day and Clause 3.10.2 will also apply to those affected drivers. The Loco Division wishes to thank the Delegates and members for their vigilance in the timely reporting of this matter and their diligence in protecting members’ rights.
