BAN NOTIFICATION: INDEFINTE BAN ON STAYING AWAY FROM HOME OVERNIGHT

Today, the 16th October, the RTBU notified ARTC management that from 06:00am, Friday the 20th October, there will be an ‘indefinite ban on staying away from home overnight’ and an ‘indefinite ban on travelling to work locations by plane’ by RTBU members covered by the ARTC Infrastructure Maintenance New South Wales Agreement 2014.
While this ban is in place ARTC management cannot force you to stay away from home overnight or travel by plane to a work location.
It is your legal right to make sure ARTC allow you to return home to your family every night after work each day. It is also your right not to travel to work by plane.
Only RTBU members covered by the ARTC Infrastructure Maintenance New South Wales Agreement 2014 are protected by law in taking part in this action.
If you are not an RTBU member and wish to take part and stand alongside your fellow workmates in support of this protected action;

ARTC management have been reminded that they are prohibited by law from taking any adverse action against members who participate in this protected industrial action.
If this occurs, ALL members are urged to contact the RTBU immediately.
