ARTC Infrastructure: Tell Management to Respect Our Rights
Bulletin: 41/2018
Your RTBU legal team has just filed in the Federal Circuit Court a general protections claim for Josh Tilden. The purpose of this legal action is to get Josh reinstated to work and make management accountable for their unfair actions.
As many of you would be aware, Josh was a union delegate at Wagga Wagga when he was sacked on dubious allegations shortly after raising safety concerns and acting as a union delegate.
Management’s actions towards Josh are an outrageous attack on Josh for accessing a workplace right and for doing the right thing, speaking up on safety. This is management sending a message to all members.
We need to show management that we will not be scared or silenced by their heavy-handed tactics.
This will be a long process. That’s why now more than ever it is critical we show management that we are strong and united – regardless of what they do. We will keep you updated with more information on Josh’s case as it becomes available.
In Solidarity!
