ARTC EA Negotiations Update – Next EA Meeting

May 17, 2018Bulletins

Bulletin: 32/18

To: All ARTC Infrastructure Maintenance Members

Your bargaining team are scheduled to meet with ARTC on Monday, 21st May 2018 to continue negotiations on our enterprise agreement.

Delegates around the state have been holding conversations with members to find out what it will take to get closer to a new Enterprise Agreement. At the request of members, your RTBU team today put an endorsed proposal to management, so that they can respond in the next meeting on the 21st May 2018.

The proposal put to management is;

  • Maintain all current terms and conditions that have been agreed-in-principle between the parties as of the 11th May 2018. This includes the three year Agreement term that management requested and the bargaining team accepted; and
  • A 3.0% per annum increase to wages and allowances effective from February 2017 (back pay); OR
  • A 4.0% per annum increase to wages and allowances effective from the date the Enterprise Agreement is signed off (under the provision that we have reached in-principle agreement by the end of June 2018 otherwise this offer by the bargaining team will expire).

We will not accept not accept unfair wage increases and no back-pay. ARTC is claiming they can’t afford a fair Agreement while earning over $2.1 billion in revenue. This is simply untrue.

Your bargaining team will update you on next Monday’s meeting immediately after the meeting.

The deadline to return your ballot papers to take industrial action is fast approaching. To make sure you have the right to withdraw your labour to win a fair deal, post back your ballot today!

In Solidarity!
