Bulletin 26 – 2015
To: ARTC Members
Members are advised that ARTC management, Union Delegates and Officials met on the 29th April to discuss the ARTC log of claims where we sought clarity and detail on the 5 items that were in Management’s log. (Refer to Bulletin 22 dated 24th April)
The meeting also provided the Combined Unions the opportunity to formally present their log of claims and to work through these items.
The Combined Unions’ log of claims was developed out of the results of the EA surveys and feedback that the Combined Unions received from members.
The Combined Unions log of claims contained a list of items with the following forming the basis of the “generic” items which apply across all classification work groups.
|4% per annum Increase in pay and allowances||9 day fortnight|
|2, 3 or 4 year agreement||36 hour week|
|Separate EAs for the various Worker Groups||Paid overtime for all employees with no cut off limit|
|No salary cut off limit for EA coverage||On-Call levels increased to $150,000|
|Rostering Principles to be included in EA||Appropriate rostered Rest breaks (paid or other)|
|Classification Streams (career paths)||6 weeks annual leave|
|Improved Consultation Provisions||Accrual of Public Holidays|
|Improved Major Change Restructure provisions||Sick Leave Entitlements Clarification|
|Call out Allowance increases and penalty rate||Union Rights and Union Training|
|Detailed Breakdown of employees’ TRP|
The generic claims are supplemented with specific individual worker group’s issues. EG; Network Control requesting to have recognised “trade qualification” certification and Infrastructure Maintenance requesting access to and provision of work vehicle etc.
The next meeting is scheduled for the 10th June at Broadmeadow.
Members are advised if they have questions that they should speak to their Delegate(s) those being;
Network Control: Michael Milburn and Andrew Briant (Broadmeadow) John Hilton and Joe Costello (Junee)
Infrastructure Maintenance: Douglas Elphick (Newcastle)
Members will be kept informed of the progress of these negotiations.
