Alex sleeping rough to help the homeless

RTBU State Secretary Alex Claassens is again participating in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

Alex will be sleeping rough on a cold winter night on June 18th at Sydney’s Luna park to raise funds for people who are experiencing homelessness.Alex says that as a union leader he is committed to social justice and understands how easy it can be to find yourself out of a job, fall on hard times and spiral into homelessness.

“It would be unimaginable to have to live through a Sydney winter without a roof over your head and it’s important we all remember that there are around 100,000 men, women and children in Australia who do so every year,” he says.
