METRO TRAINS SYDNEY – RTBU SITE VISIT

26 FEBRUARY 2019

Members and employees at MTS are advised that the RTBU will be visiting MTS on 26 February 2019 at 12:00pm and will stay on the premises until approximately 2:00pm.

It is our intention to meet with members and MTS employees to discuss any concerns or issues that you may be having at work, and to have a broader conversation about what industrial strategies we think are worth pursuing in order to ensure that your conditions of employment are comparable to the industry standards and not sub-standard.

Once again, we are aware of discussions occurring at a high level with MTS involving pay increases being offered as a way of enticing employees onto the existing greenfields agreement. We would like to encourage all employees and members to refrain from signing any documentation until we have had the opportunity to talk to you about what this means and what other options are available to you so that you are not bound by the greenfields agreement for the next four years.
