NSW Trains Members – RTBU New Intercity Fleet (NIF) Tour
To: NSW Train Guards
Bulletin 43/2018
The RTBU Locomotive and Operations Divisions will be conducting a tour of NSW Trains InterCity areas to discuss with members aspects of the New InterCity Fleet (NIF) introduction, including the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide Members with an update on the process so far.
At this stage, NSW Trains management is refusing to allow your Officials to enter your workplace to provide you with this information.
We view the refusal by NSW Trains to allow your Elected Representatives access to your workplace to talk to you, as a sign that their commitment to an open and transparent process is one sided and not in the best interest of their workforce.
The RTBU are committed to an open and transparent process.
In light of the above, the RTBU has organised venues at a location close to your Home Depot.
- Gosford, (Gosford Golf Club, Links Room) Mon 2nd July, 1000-1400.
- Newcastle, (Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, Hannell St, Wickham) Tues 3rd July, 1000-1400.
- Moss Vale, (outside Station) Wednesday 4th July, 0800-1000.
- Wollongong, (RTBU, Wollongong Office) Wednesday 4th July, 1100-1400.
- Lithgow, (Club Lithgow, Lithgow St) Thursday 5th July, 0930-1200.
- Mt Victoria, (Patrick St) Thursday 5th July, 1230-1400.
- Springwood, (Oriental Hotel, Macquarie Rd) Thursday 5th July, from 1600.
- Sydney, (Rendezvous Hotel, cnr George and Quay St) Friday 6th July, 1000-1400.
This is your chance to talk to your RTBU representatives about matters that are critical for your future. NSW Trains proposals for the introduction of the New InterCity Train will have a lasting effect on your career.
The RTBU look forward to the chance to meet and speak with members and encourage their attendance at these important meetings.
