Tickets for this year’s Picnic Day to be held on Friday 15^th December from 09:00 to 15:00 at “Como Pleasure Ground” (in Como) are now on sale.

The Picnic Day is organised by the Welfare Fund and has amalgamated the Salaried Officers’ and the Wages Operations employees’ picnics into a single event.

This amalgamation will allow the Welfare Fund to run the most affordable Picnic Day event. It is essential that employees in the Salaried Officers and Wages Operations areas support make Picnic Day sustainable by buying their Picnic Ticket for this event.

Purchasing a Picnic Ticket for $10 (whether you are able to attend the Picnic Day event or not) entitles you a “full” day’s pay.

It also allows you and/or your immediate family to have a FUN day out with sausage sizzles, face painting, ice creams, a petting zoo, and rides for the kids, arts and crafts and other outdoor activities.

For those who may have difficulty with the short walk from Como Station to the Como Pleasure Grounds, a free shuttle bus will be running all day.
