Asbestos found on Sydney Metro North West site as union demands answers
Workers at the Sydney Metro North West site who fear they may have been exposed to asbestos returned to work on Friday after the area was shut down for inspection this week.
Transport NSW has confirmed it identified and removed bonded asbestos from the site before workers returned on Friday.
Electrical Trades Union NSW secretary Dave McKinley said the potentially deadly material was detected at Tallawong Road, Schofields this week a year after work had started on the site.
