To: RTBU Airport Link Company Members;

RTBU organisers met with your Airport Link (ALC) delegate team on the 9^th May 2017 to hold a preliminary discussion regarding your upcoming Enterprise Agreement negotiations.

The discussions with your representatives were very helpful in setting the tone for these negotiations and very important for ourselves to understand the issues facing our members in the workplace on a daily basis.

Your representatives will keep you up to date every step of the way throughout this bargaining process.

Your bargaining representatives are as follows;

Warren Attwood – MOR 

The subject matter expertise your delegates bring to the table is vitally important when in a time of bargaining such as we find ourselves in coming up to the expiry of this agreement.

The first step in preparation for these negotiations is to formalise your log of claims.

To assist the RTBU team in formalising your log of claims, it is imperative that all ALC employees fill out the attached “RTBU Member Survey – ALC EA 2017”.

As a new member of the RTBU Organising team I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to our ALC members. My name is Jonathan Parker and I will be working alongside Luke Hayden in these negotiations for your agreement.

I have been in the rail industry for 28 years and an RTBU delegate for 25 years. At the end of 2015 I was seconded from Sydney Trains to assist Luke in all aspects of the Infrastructure Division and for Luke to mentor me in the skills of Organising.

After working intensely with Luke in other Enterprise agreements over the last 2 years, Luke and I believe it’s time for me to take the lead in this negotiation with his assistance.

We will be scheduling meetings across ALC to allow me to introduce myself and discuss the upcoming negotiations with all of you.
