MTS: Protected Action Update

Dear Members,

Last night, the RTBU lodged a Protected Industrial Action (PIA) notice with MTS on behalf of the frontline.

From 12.01 am on Friday, 17 October, RTBU members will be permitted to wear RTBU T-shirts, hats, badges, and other union apparel at work indefinitely.

RTBU CJCS and CJCT members will also be authorised to place union stickers on trains and stations.

The PIA for COLS will be filed today, with their action commencing one day later.

This is protected industrial action, and members cannot face any repercussions for participating.

Engineering Control has endorsed additional actions, which will be filed shortly. Members will be kept informed as these progress.
