Train Crew Uniform Win

To RTBU Members – Sydney Trains Train Guards

Sydney Trains Guard and Driver Delegates and members have finally had a win with the new uniform. Sydney Trains Train Crew Management has now agreed to make the following changes to the Train Crew uniforms.

• In August 2015, all train crew will be provided with five new polo shirts designed specifically for train crew. These polo shirts can be worn at all times.

• An Expression of Interest (EOI) to trial a new style of shirt with the same weave of material as the previous uniform will be advertised in August. If the trial is successful, the shirts will be provided later this year.

• Train Crew may alter their trousers to knee length shorts and be reimbursed reasonable costs for the alteration.

• If wearing shorts, short black socks must be worn.

• In the future, shorts will be routinely provided as part of the uniform.

To order new polo shirts and submit alteration expenses, please contact your Shift Manager at each depot.

Sydney Trains have also indicated they would look at the blend of the material of the trousers and shorts in the future
