ARTC Infrastructure Members: TIME FOR ACTION

Oct 11, 2017Bulletins

Bulletin 54 – 2017

After a majority of Infrastructure Members at ARTC voted to take protected industrial action, conversations have been held by members around the state about what that action would look like and when they would begin.

That time is now!

Yesterday, the 10th October, the RTBU notified ARTC management that from 08:00am, Saturday the 14th October, there will be an ‘Indefinite ban on using work emails’ by RTBU members covered by the ARTC Infrastructure Maintenance New South Wales Agreement 2014.

This is the first of many proposed actions that have been discussed with members around the state.

So from this Saturday, 14th October remember, it is your right to not use your work email in anyway, be that reading an email, sending an email, responding to your managers or sending any workplace documentation.

Only RTBU members covered by the ARTC Infrastructure Maintenance New South Wales Agreement 2014 are protected by law in taking part in this action. If you are not an RTBU member and wish to take part, you are urged to join the RTBU immediately to stand alongside your workmates.

We have reminded ARTC management that ARTC is prohibited by law from interfering with members taking action. If this occurs, ALL members are urged to contact the RTBU immediately.

In Solidarity!
